Okay. Let's talk laser cut files.
You've got a laser. Maybe it's a Glowforge or an xTool, maybe an Aeon, a Thunder or an OMTech, maybe something you bought at 2 AM after watching way too many YouTube videos (no judgment, I've been there). Doesn't matter. Every laser cut file on this page works on any laser, diode or CO2, and every one comes as AI, SVG and PDF.
Every design here is made by me, Darryl, in my shop. Ornaments, layered signs, wall art, gifts and a whole lot of stuff that's just ridiculously fun to make. Instant download.
Why my laser cut files are different
I'm not a file factory pumping out thousands of traced designs. I'm one guy who's slightly obsessed. My layered designs are built to stain or paint each layer and glue them together, and a lot of my signs have the mounting built right in, so they sit flush on the wall with no extra hardware.
Every file comes with a Read Me that has the instructions, plus the stains and paints I used, so you can make it look like mine. Assembly videos are newer, and a lot of my recent files have one on YouTube now too.
What you'll find in here
- Christmas ornaments & holiday decor: the stuff that sells like crazy at craft fairs.
- Layered signs & wall art: stain it, paint it, stack it, hang it.
- Gifts & personalized pieces: easy wins for birthdays, teachers, and that friend who has everything.
- Bundles: because one file is never enough. Let's be honest.
Works with any laser
Glowforge, xTool, Aeon, Thunder, OMTech, LightBurn, Inkscape, Corel... any laser, any software. So if you've been hunting for Glowforge and xTool files or Glowforge patterns, you're in the right place, and if you run something else, you're in the right place too.
LightBurn users, please use the AI files. LightBurn, Inkscape and Corel can resize SVGs exported from Illustrator because they use a different resolution. You can adjust the resolution in those apps, or just use the AI or PDF file instead and it opens at the right size.
Laser Cut Files FAQ
What are laser cut files?
Laser cut files are vector design files, made of lines and paths instead of pixels, that your laser software reads to know exactly where to cut, score and engrave. Mine come as AI, SVG and PDF, so they scale cleanly and open in pretty much any laser software out there. Load one up, pick your material and hit go, and you can make signs, ornaments, home decor, gifts and a whole lot more out of wood, acrylic and whatever else you run in your machine.
Do these files work with my laser?
Yep! Any laser. Glowforge, xTool, Aeon, Thunder, OMTech, diode or CO2. If your laser software can open an AI, SVG or PDF file, you're good.
What file formats do I get?
Every file comes as AI, SVG and PDF.
Which file do I use?
LightBurn users, use the AI file. LightBurn (and Inkscape and Corel) resize SVGs exported from Illustrator because they use a different resolution, and the AI file opens at the right size. Using xTool Studio, xTool Creative Space, Glowforge or any other platform? Use the SVG. The PDF is there as a backup, and Inkscape and Corel users can use the AI or PDF file.
Can I sell what I make?
Yes. You may sell an unlimited number of physical products made from our designs. The digital files themselves are licensed for your personal use only and may not be shared, resold, given away or distributed in any form, including modified or altered versions. All designs, in whole or in part, are the property of That Laser Dude / Spin Creative Corp. and are protected by copyright and intellectual property law. Unauthorized distribution or resale violates this license and the law, and offenders will be prosecuted.
What material should I use?
Whatever you normally run in your machine. My files just tell your laser head where to go. For my painted and stained projects I like 1/8" or 1/4" maple or MDF.
Do the files come with instructions?
Always. Every file has a Read Me with the instructions and the stains and paints I used. Assembly videos are a newer thing for me, and a lot of my recent files have one on YouTube too.
How do I get my files after I buy?
Instant download. You'll get an email with your download link right after checkout, and your files are also waiting in your account on thatlaserdude.com.
Do you have free laser cut files?
I do! Check out the free files and grab a few to test drive my designs.
